Gescom MiniDisc…on CD!
MiniDisc, probably the oddest release by Gescom (aka Autechre), was innovative back in 1998 for being the first MiniDisc only release. It's been reissued once, and now, strangely enough, is coming to CD. Why is that strange? Well, the whole point of MiniDisc was it's 45 tracks chopped up into 88 portions so the listener could put their MD on 'shuffle' and get a different Gescom song/mix every time. Now that it's coming to CD, we wonder exactly how it will work since one of MD's claim to fame (some players, not all of them it should be noted) is it's zero seek time, which on CD players is not the case. Nonetheless, if you've ever wanted to own MiniDisc, it will be out on CD soon and can be ordered at the Touch Shop.
